Hi I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about the Harmony Barber shop on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. I have girls aged 1 and 9 and was thinking about the first hair cut option for my 1 year old? Not sure what I could book for my 9 year?

    Hi Helen!

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Harmony Barber Shop!  I consider it a hidden gem at the Magic Kingdom.  We have visited several times, including a first haircut for my son on his 1st birthday!  I have reservations for my daughter's 1st birthday next week as well as a cut for my son's 4th birthday.

The first haircut package is so adorable.  It comes with the haircut, a pair of Mickey ears that say 1st Haircut on the back and a certificate for you to take home.  They will also wrap up some of the cut hair for you to take home as a keepsake.

Your 9 year old can get a haircut as well if she wants.  They are licensed stylists.  If she doesn't need or want a haircut, she can get colored hair gel styled into her hair with a sprinkle of pixie dust on top.  When you make reservations, you don't need to specify exactly what you want to get.  You are basically booking the time, not the "treatment" so you don't have to decide right away what to have done for your older girl.

To make reservations for the Harmony Barber Shop, call (407) WDW-DINE.

    Have a magical day!
