I was wondering if you can tell me the best way to go from the Art of Animation Resort to the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. We are planning a trip in October and we would like to go to the dinner show one evening since we have never did one.

    Hi Tammy,

From your resort, the easiest way to reach the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground using the Disney transportation would be to take the bus first to Magic Kingdom and then transfer to a water taxi to Fort Wilderness. You will disembark from the boat a short distance from Pioneer Hall, home of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and from the Mickey's Backyard BBQ pavilion.

The bus from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom takes about 20 minutes, and the boat ride will take about 15. I would allow at least an hour of transport time, probably more like 90 minutes, in case you have to wait for either the bus or boat. Plus, I never like to arrive at a dinner reservation or a show frazzled from rushing.

If you arrive early, you can always explore the area around Pioneer Hall, which has a playground, picnic tables, pony rides and rocking chairs on the porch of Crockett's Tavern.

Enjoy your first Walt Disney World dinner show!
