Hi, I was wondering what you could suggest for doing something special for my sons 8th bday we are celebrating at Disney we only have a group of 8 so a lot of things with min amount of people are out of the question. Thanks.

    Hi, Wretha!

What a great place to celebrate an 8th birthday: Walt Disney World!

First, be sure pick up a complimentary Celebration Button at Guest Services in any park. Cast Members and Guests alike will wish him a happy birthday as long as he is wearing it, so he'll feel extra special all day.

If your son likes pirates, then consider booking a transformation for him at The Pirates League. He'll have fun throughout the day as Cast Members and Guests comment on his swashbuckling ways as you tour the parks. What fun!

You could also allow your son to pick a celebratory birthday meal at the restaurant of his choice. I suggest Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, as they'll celebrate birthdays in a very special manner, with the head mouse there, too, to lead the way. We always let the birthday boy (or girl) pick the park that day, and map out what they'd like to do the entire day. Sit down with your birthday boy and help him create a Customized Map for his very special day; Disney will mail you your customized map(s) (complimentary) prior to your arrival. He'll feel so special having his very own map, with his name at the top, helping to guide you throughout his big day!

Take a look at Walt Disney World Celebrations for more ideas on how to celebrate your little prince's special day while in WDW. Be sure to send more questions as you think of them, Wretha! We love to help!
