Hi I am wondering if the SSR treehouse villas are going to be included in the resort refurbishment? TIA

    Hello Rachel,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you brought your question here to the panel!

I love staying at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa for its proximity to Disney Springs! When we stay there we usually walk to Disney Springs to enjoy shopping and one of the fabulous dining options available. The Boathouse is my favorite and you’re going to have to give it try next time you’re there!

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is currently going through a Hard Goods renovation. They just completed Congress Park and the pictures and video tours of the new rooms look amazing! As part of the refurbishment, you're going to see all new flooring, furniture, appliances and they’re even adding the pull-down murphy beds similar to the ones at Disney’s Riviera Resort

You’ve brought a great question about whether or not the Treehouse Villas will be included in this refurbishment. I spoke with a Cast Member and they didn’t think the Treehouse Villas were going to be a part of it. I think the Cast Member is right because the current Disney Vacation Club refurbishment schedule is every 7 years for a Soft Goods refurbishment and every 14 years for a Hard Goods Refurbishment. The Treehouse Villas became part of the resort in 2009 which is 4 years after Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa opened. The Treehouse Villas received a soft goods refurbishment in 2016 so they would be due for a Hard Goods refurbishment in 2023. At the last Disney Vacation Club Condo Association meeting, they revealed the refurbishment schedule up through 2022. My guess is that the Treehouse Villas are next on the list.

Well Rachel, I hope you found this information useful and stayed tuned for the 2020 Disney Vacation Club Condo Association meeting in December.

Remember, always believe in the magic!
