Just wondering when spring roomonly discounts come out what chances that there will be standard room - no special views in the deluxe resorts like grand floridian or polynesian? is it worth it to wait generally?or is it likely only expensive rooms leftover

    Hi Guylaine,

I love a good discount especially when it is at the Walt Disney World Resorts! This means more time at one of my favorite vacation spots.

Generally, specials and discounts are offered between three and six months prior to the start of the offer. This allows guests enough time to plan for their vacation and make the booking windows for meals and FastPass+. Offers can be in any form from rooms to tickets to free dining and they vary. When I have taken advantage of a special, I have used the special to upgrade my room. However, there were still rooms available at the room category that I initially booked.

I generally recommend to guests who want to visit the Walt Disney World Resorts to book the vacation they can afford as soon as possible. This is especially true if you need to book airfare as prices are cheaper the sooner you book. Then if a special is offered during your vacation, contact the company that booked your vacation and ask for the deal. If it is available, you generally can switch to that offer.

Deals can be found throughout the year with only times where specials are not offered are during President's Week, Easter Week, Thanksgiving and between Christmas and New Year's. As always, specials are not guaranteed.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
