Welcome to planDisney, Graham!
I'm a huge fan of
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! My wife and I have many magical memories of plunging down
Crush 'N' Gusher, being taken out by a big kahuna in the wave pool, and floating happily down Castaway Creek. As Crush would say, "You're going to have a totally awesome time, dude!"
At this time, Graham, you can only enter a Theme Park if you have
made a reservation through the Disney Park Pass system. The exception to this is when you hop between Theme Parks using the
Park Hopper Option. But you wouldn't be able to hop from a Water Park to a Theme Park without making a reservation.
I'm sorry if that's not the answer you wanted to hear. However, there are other ways to experience the fireworks. For example, did you know that some restaurants at the Disney Resorts offer spectacular views of the fireworks? My top two favorites would be watching
Disney Enchantment from
California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort or watching
Harmonious from
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort.
Some other cool options would be to enjoy some yummy dessert at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop and then take an evening stroll around
Disney's BoardWalk. You'll be super close to EPCOT and so you'll be able to enjoy the fireworks from Harmonious.
One last (and free) tip is to head over to the dock at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge shortly before Disney Enchantment begins. Hop on the next boat that is heading towards Magic Kingdom Park and, if you time it right, you'll get a spectacular fireworks cruise! I've done this myself and it's pretty magical.
If you do any of the above, I'm sure you'll make an extra special memory that you'll never forget! Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Graham.
ChEARS!
Mike
