Greetings, Marcie, and welcome to planDisney!
I’m so happy that you’ve stopped by and I’ll be more than happy to help guide you towards some delicious offerings. Walt Disney World does an incredible job when it comes to
dietary needs. One of my Mouseketeers has a dairy allergy, so I understand the importance of being cautious. You’ll be thrilled to hear that most dining locations offer a special menu depending on the dietary needs of your party.
You’ll want to check out some of the menus before heading down to Walt Disney World. You can do this online or using the My Disney Experience mobile app. Select the restaurant you are interested in and scroll down the menu until you see the heading “Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly.” Below that heading is where you will find all the options that fit your dietary needs. I’ve included the
menu of one of my favorite Quick-Service restaurants so that you can get an idea of what you will be looking for when viewing the menus online.
When it comes to Table-Service restaurants, you can make a note of your allergy when booking the reservations. You will also be able to remind the Cast Member on the day you check in for your reservation. In my experience, a Chef will come out and talk to you about the menu and answer any additional questions you may have before your food is prepared. Honestly, visiting Walt Disney World with a food allergy is very easy to navigate. I’ve expressed to my family how easy it is for my little one to enjoy many of the same options that the rest of us do. Actually, we’ve pretty much all switched to
dairy-free ice cream when visiting because of how good it is, and of course, it’s my son’s go-to.
I do hope this helps answer your question, Marcie. Please let us know if there is anything specific you are looking to enjoy so that we can guide you toward some of our favorite dining locations. While I have you, I will leave you with a few personal recommendations. My family loves
Topolino’s Terrace for breakfast, and Docking Bay 7 is another great lunch or dinner option. For me, it's because of the
Felucian Falafel and Hummus Garden Spread. Great news: they also have this option on the Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly menu as well. So, if you’re interested, give it a try!
Again, I hope this helps and if there’s anything else you need please don’t hesitate to ask!
Enjoy,
Shantel
