Hi Katie! Absolutely, there are some great non princess fun things to do for the young male guests at
Walt Disney World!
You might try a pirate make-over at the Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom. Boys (and girls) can be transformed into the cutest or scariest pirate around. My grandson still remembers his pirate name! You can start out with the
Disney Family Magic Tour and then end with the Pirates League. Click
HERE for more information.
Another great idea is the Pirate and Pals Firework Cruises. There will be some character meet and greets, refreshments, singing, and for sure recognition of a special birthday during the night. Please click
HERE to read more about this great adventure. There are also small pirate cruises that depart from various resorts with my favorite being from the Grand Floridian. These are day time two hour excursions for the kids only.
Another way to celebrate a birthday at Disney is to head to Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney. Here you can book a private room for a special party. You can pick a theme and they will help you with the fun and games and each guest will ultimately create a treat for themselves. You can book and get more information about this activity by calling 407-939-2329.
For another private celebration you can book a pontoon boat for a fireworks cruise for either the Magic Kingdom show or Illuminations at EPCOT. It will be decorated with balloons and comes with snack chips and assorted sodas and water. You can add other food such as a specialty cake from private dining.
Hope this gives you a few ideas!
