Hi Tony, welcome to planDisney!
I'm sorry to hear someone in your original party is unable to experience the magic of Walt Disney World Resort with you this summer. I encourage you to send them a postcard during your trip - Mickey mail is fun to give and receive!
Generally speaking, wholly unused theme park tickets linked to you or an individual whose My Disney Experience account profile you manage can be reassigned to a member of your Family & Friends List. As such, here are the steps needed to reassign a ticket to someone else:
1. Step One: Make sure the person receiving the ticket has a My Disney Experience account.
2. Step Two: Connect with the ticket recipient as Family and Friends by doing the following...
- Click "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your Family & Friends List.
- Select "I'll enter their name and age."
- After you enter the age of "18+," select "Invite this Guest to connect."
- Enter the Email address connected to the ticket recipient's My Disney Experience account.
- Wait for the ticket recipient to accept the email invitation to connect, at which point you will officially be connected as Family & Friends.
3. Step Three: Reassign the unused ticket by doing the following...
- Click the "Reassign Ticket" dropdown menu to the right of the ticket you wish to give away.
- Select the recipient's name from the dropdown menu, followed by the blue, "Yes, Reassign Ticket" button.
If you do not expect to plan any future Walt Disney World Resort vacations with the ticket recipient, Tony, you can remove them from your
Family and Friends List by clicking "Update" next to their name and "Remove from This List." I did just that recently after reassigning a ticket to a panelist pal I don't normally travel with.
If you'd like any tips about using the tickets that will remain in your My Disney Experience account, Tony,
planDisney's got you covered!
Choose magic,
Jennifer
