Hi there, Sue!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are considering a trip to "The Most Magical Place on Earth." How exciting!
Historically, the most popular times to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort are when schools are not in session such as holidays, spring break and summer. That being said, special events and festivals can also draw larger crowds. Although it seems to be getting harder to predict a time to visit when the crowd levels are low, I would suggest choosing a time of year when schools are usually in session. I've personally visited in January, late February, early to mid-May, September, early November and early December and found those timeframes to be a great time to visit in regards to crowd levels that were very manageable.
I have also visited during times of the year that are very popular and found we were able to accomplish everything on our "must do" list by having a park planning strategy. I definitely recommend utilizing
FastPass+ service in order to decrease your wait for many of the most popular attractions. When staying at a Disney Resort hotel, I also take advantage of
Extra Magic Hours when available.
I hope this information has been helpful in making the best decision for your family, Sue. If you have any new vacation planning questions, please don't hesitate to stop by again. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip!
