I was wondering if Sci Fi Drive in theater has tables that are for a group of 7-8?

Hiya, David--and welcome to planDisney! We're so glad you stopped by, and I'm here to make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation as magical as can be. Let's dive right in!

Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant has been a favorite of mine ever since a date took me there waaaaay back in 1996. The relationship didn't last, but my appreciation for this kitschy-cool spot at Disney's Hollywood Studios certainly did! Sci-Fi has a casual menu with burgers, ice cream, and other all-American favorites--they also have some really good plant-based options.

Of course, the setting is really what makes this restaurant magical! You get to enjoy your food while clips from vintage sci-fi movies play, and the servers even get into the action sometimes. Parties of 7 to 8 can definitely eat here--Guests are seated in "automo-booths" styled like vintage cars, or at picnic-style tables with movable chairs. Some of the cars will accommodate parties of up to 8, but I will say that it's not an ideal spot if you want to visit with the other folks in your group since you'll be facing the movie screen.

Reservations for Sci-Fi aren't made for a particular type of seating, but if you really have your heart set on either the cars or the tables, plan on arriving early to let the Cast Members know your preference. They will do their best to accommodate you, although they can't guarantee your request will be honored. I have dined at both the booths and the cars and thought both were equally enjoyable!

David, be sure to mark your calendar for 60 days in advance of your check-in date so you can hopefully snag a reservation for this super-fun spot. You won't be sorry! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney, and please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions.
