Wondering about the schedule for the Star Wars Weekends and the new Jedi Training. We are traveling in January and are thinking of booking the 23rd for Hollywood Studios. Thoughts with a 6 and 8 year old? (he loves Star Wars).

    Hi Stephanie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I don't have to use any Jedi mind tricks to tell you that your plan sounds fantastic!

While we don't have schedules or details yet, we know that the new Star Wars Season of the Force event should begin early in 2016 at Walt Disney World Resort. Fireworks will be shown on weekend nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios so visiting on a Saturday will be perfect!

You will definitely want to visit the new Star Wars Launch Bay exhibit and take flight on Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. As for experiencing Jedi Training Academy, I recommend arriving before the park opens and heading straight to sign-up as soon as they open. Times fill up quickly so you won't want to wait. Also, your boys must with you when you sign them up, so keep that in mind!

There are many updates and enhancements in the works, so keep your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the newest information. It's a great time to be a Star Wars fan!

May the Force be with you, Stephanie. Thanks for your question!
