I was wondering if savi’s workshop will help repair my lightsaber that doesn’t want to light and if so do they charge me for the help?

    Bright Suns, Edwin!

It sounds like you have spent some time in a galaxy far, far away recently. I hope your time on Batuu was filled with the unexpected, whether you side with the Resistance or the First Order! I, too, have uncovered the hidden location of Savi's Workshop with my son and built a custom lightsaber to harness the force, so I'm happy to help with your question today.

I know that Savi and his team are very focused on assisting Guests in building their lightsabers and may or may not have a spare minute for repairs. We had a similar issue with ours once we got home and discovered a Merchandise Guest Services team dedicated to assisting Guests with problems that arise with items purchased in the Disney Parks. They would be your best bet for assistance and can be reached by emailing merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. If possible, I would include a picture of your original receipt with the date of purchase, as well as photos and/or a video of the lightsaber not lighting up, and a detailed description of the issue itself. They will let you know if they need anymore information to give you a hand. While the force isn't strong enough to show me the outcome in your case, for us, they sent us a replacement part in the mail free of charge. We were back to wielding our lightsaber in no time!

Edwin, I hope this has been helpful, as it looks like you are heading into the parks today! You are in for an out-of-this-world experience as there is so much to see and do. I was just walking through Galaxy's Edge last week and stumbled across Chewbacca, Rey, and the Mandalorian with just one stroll. With Halloween Time kicking off this Friday, August 22nd, this is your last week until the holidays pass to experience all of the 70th Anniversary festivities. While some will continue, I'd highly recommend catching the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade, which will be paused for the season. If you have any other 70th fun on your must-do list, now is the time to experience it!

If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

May the magic be with you!
