    I was wondering if the salon inside the Contemporary does anything special for children's haircut? We will be staying there June 26 - July 2 and wanted to get my daughters first haircut there. Also do you need to make an appt?

    Thanks for writing.  The salon at the Contemporary is more of a traditional venue.  However, since you are literally a 5-8 minute walk from the entrance to the Magic Kingdom, I'd suggest heading over to the park and the Harmony Barber Shop, where first haircuts for boys and girls are a Disney legend!  Both of my children had their first haircuts there, and I have the certificates, sprinkled pixie dust and locket of their hair to remember our magical milestone!  It's a truly wonderful experience, and I hope you'll consider it!  The shop operates on a first come, first served basis, so I recommend going early in the day or during the afternoon, as it tends to get crowded.  Have a wonderful visit!
