Hi ! I was wondering if rope drop is available to non-resort guests? Also if I want to do early entry, do I have to pay extra for this? Or any Rope drop and early entry? Thank you !

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Valeria!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! Get ready for the kind of MAGIC that makes you feel like a kid again! From the very first “Welcome home!” to the smell of fresh popcorn on Main Street U.S.A., every moment is about to be packed with pixie dust. Your days will be filled with jaw‑dropping attractions, mouth‑watering treats, and the kind of smiles that stick around long after the fireworks fade. So grab those Mickey ears and lace up your comfiest shoes because your Disney adventure is about to begin!

What a great question! If you’ve ever heard people talk about “rope drop” at Disney, here’s the scoop...It’s simply being at the park gates before official opening so you’re ready to dash (or stroll) right to the attractions when they let guests in. The GREAT news is that rope drop is for everyone, no matter where you’re staying, and it doesn’t cost a penny extra. Just show up bright and early at park opening with your ticket and be ready to roll when the MAGIC begins!

Now, Early Theme Park Entry is a little different. This is a special perk for guests staying at Disney Resort and certain partner hotels, giving them a 30-minute head start before the official opening time. And nope, there’s no extra charge for that either. However, if you are not staying on Disney property, you are not able to take advantage of this perk, and paying extra for Early Entry is unfortunately not an option. It’s just one of those “thank you for staying with us” bonuses Disney sprinkles in.

Whether you are staying on a Disney property or not, I have another idea to give you more time in the theme parks! I am excited to share with you about Disney After Hours! This special-ticketed event lets anyone (yep, even non‑resort guests) enjoy the parks for a few extra hours after they close to regular visitors. Crowds are delightfully low, which means you can hit your favorite attractions with little to no wait and feel like you’ve got the place almost to yourself. Plus, they throw in popcorn, ice cream treats, and select drinks to keep you fueled for all that late‑night FUN.

I sure hope this information helps you in your planning. If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
