Hi! I was wondering what rides would be open during MVMCP, we were thinking of coming the first week of December and want to experience it! Also will have a 6 month old at the time will she need a ticket for that event? thank you!

    Hi Lacey,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question! I absolutely loved visiting Walt Disney World Resort with my son when it was an itty bitty baby, and I think that you’re in for an absolutely magical vacation if you choose to travel with your daughter in December.

The list of which attractions will be open during this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party hasn’t been released yet. Based on my past experience, while most of Magic Kingdom Park’s attractions are open during the Party, not all of them are on any given night. I’d say that it’s pretty likely that the headliner attractions will be operating, but I will say that I’ve attended several Parties where Splash Mountain was closed.

As for your little one, because babies and little ones under the age of 3 are Mickey’s “Special Guests” at Walt Disney World Resort, you won’t need to purchase a Special Event Ticket for her. You may already know that she also won’t need a regular ticket to enter the Theme Parks or even the Water Parks.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
