Hi, Leanne! Welcome back to planDisney!
When I visit
Walt Disney World Resort with my family, we're usually busy running around the theme parks during the day, and we rarely stop to sit down for a big lunch. Instead, we prefer to start our mornings with a good breakfast that will hold us over until the evening. I absolutely love breakfast food, especially at Walt Disney World Resort! While Mickey waffles tend to be my breakfast of choice, I would be happy to help you find some
dining locations that serve chocolate chip pancakes and French toast.
There are lots of restaurants that currently have French toast on their menus. At many buffet restaurants such as
Chef Mickey's and
Hollywood & Vine, you'll find traditional French toast. Several other restaurants offer variations on this breakfast dish such as the caramel apple-stuffed French toast at
Cinderella's Royal Table, the salted caramel-apple French toast at
Ale & Compass Restaurant, and the famous Tonga Toast at
Kona Cafe. It is worth mentioning that you can also get Tonga Toast at the quick-service restaurant,
Capt. Cook's.
Chocolate chip pancakes might be a bit tougher to find at Walt Disney World Resort. I can remember several resort hotel quick-service restaurants offering them in the past, but it looks like most of those menus now only list plain pancakes. I would recommend trying to make a breakfast reservation at
Cape May Cafe. Cape May Cafe currently has French toast on its buffet menu, and the menu also lists chocolate chip pancakes under the "classic favorites for children" section. While these selections are included on the buffet with little Mouseketeers in mind, Guests of all ages are welcome to help themselves to these items.
If there are other restaurants that you're curious about, menus for each dining location can be found by searching for that particular restaurant on the Walt Disney World website. However, it's important to note that menu selections are subject to change at any time.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the restaurants that I mentioned above. That being said, I must highlight one of my favorite breakfast restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort,
The Crystal Palace. You'll often find plain pancakes on this breakfast buffet, and they also serve a puffed French toast that is unique to this location. However, the real star of the show is the churro Mickey waffle. It is delicious!
Wherever you choose to eat breakfast, I hope it's a magical start to the perfect Walt Disney World day! If we can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask!
See ya real soon!
