I was wondering which resort to stay at: Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, or Polynesian. We have stayed at the Contemporary and loved it! It will be DD,DS, 16 and 9, and myself. Comfortable/spacious rooms is a must! Thanks!

    Hi Kimberley,

What a wonderful dilemma to be in!  Since you've stayed at the Contemporary in the past, you are familiar with the area. You know that the Contemporary (CR) and Polynesian (Poly) are on the monorail loop and the Wilderness Lodge (WL) is not - but it's a quick boat ride away.

To be honest, because I have 5 in my family, we have never stayed at the WL (due to the capacity of 4 in the standard rooms) but I have dined there many times and have toured the standard rooms.  I have stayed at the CR and Poly multiple times.

To give you an idea of the size of the rooms, I've listed the square footage for the standard rooms:

ºoº  WL: 344 sq.ft (contains 2 queen beds or one queen and a set of bunk beds)

ºoº  Poly: 404 sq. ft (contains 2 queen beds and one day bed)

ºoº CR: 437 sq.ft (contains 2 queen beds and one day bed)

Because you mentioned you'd like a spacious room, I would probably eliminate the WL as it is the smallest (or, you may want to consider upgrading to a junior suite).  You've already stayed at the CR...so if I were you, I'd probably go with the Poly!

By researching the links above, you'll get an idea on what the Poly resort and rooms look like.  If your children enjoy waterslides, then they'll absolutely *love* the volcano waterslide.

I hope this helps with your decision!   Diane
