Just wondering if the resort airline check in is worth doing if we don't have any checked bags? Not sure yet if we will have checked bags since it's a short trip. Surprising kids with trip, so trying to be all planned out. Thanks!!!

    Hi Paula,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. Surprise trips are always so much fun!

I’ve become somewhat infamous among my friends and fellow panelists for refusing to check a bag on a flight, even on longer trips. I’m pretty stubborn and I see it as a fun (if sometimes frustrating) challenge…

It’s true that the main advantage of doing Resort Airline Check-In is definitely the ability to wave goodbye to your bags for the day, long before heading to Orlando International Airport. If you don’t have checked luggage and your airline allows you to check-in for your flight online and provides you with electronic boarding passes, then the service won’t be of much use to you. If, however, your flight doesn’t have either of these options, then I would definitely recommend using Resort Airline Check-In because it will allow you to bypass potentially long lines at the check-in counter at the airport.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your surprise visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
