Hi there, Tawni! Welcome back to planDisney. It’s always a magical time when celebrating a holiday at The Happiest Place on Earth. There’s something especially sweet about Mother’s Day at the parks, with the sun shining and the flowers in bloom around the Partners Statue, that is sure to make any mom smile from ear to ear. I’d love to help you plan the perfect holiday park day!
I absolutely LOVE dining at Plaza Inn. It holds such nostalgic memories for me. From dining here with my sorority sisters in college to watching my son bite into his very first Mickey waffle, Plaza Inn holds a special place in my heart! When looking at the reservation calendar for Plaza Inn, it appears that May 10th is currently blacked out. This also seems to be the case for the rest of the
character dining locations around Disneyland Resort. My best guess is that because it’s a special holiday event, it doesn’t quite follow the typical 60-day booking window. For example, reservations for
Goofy’s Kitchen with its springtime transition starting in April was announced toward the end of February this year. I highly suggest keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for an update on when this date will open for booking.
If you want to make a reservation right now just in case, I recommend booking one of my favorites,
Carnation Café. It certainly goes hand in hand with how Disneyland Cast Members hand out carnations at the entrance on Mother’s Day! With similar breakfast fare to what you’d find at Plaza Inn, it’s sure to fuel you up for the park day ahead.
Tawni, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I’m crossing my fingers for you that you’re able to book Plaza Inn for Mother’s Day. I just know you’re going to have a wonderful time. If you need any more assistance in planning your upcoming visit, planDisney is always here for you!
With a Sprinkle of Pixie Dust,
