I was wondering how I can request a room at Pop Century Resort. I was hoping to get into the 1960's in either building 4 or 5. We have it booked as a standard view room. Thank you!

Welcome to planDisney, Thomas and thanks for POPping by!

Thomas, in order to answer your question, we'll need to travel back in time to the 1950s (to the 1990s)... just like you will when you check into Disney's Pop Century Resort

First, if you have already completed your Online Check-In and didn't find the room request option you desire, you'll want to call into the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and ask the Cast Member to note your specific request(s) on your reservation. Now, since you're hoping to stay in the 1960s building, the rooms in that building would be in the Preferred Category with some standard view and some pool view.

Thomas, please keep in mind that while Cast Members do their best to accommodate requests, there is no guarantee. When you do call in to make your request, I recommend calling when you are able to wait on hold for a bit. The last few times I have needed to call in, I made sure I wasn't short on time as currently call volumes are high.

I hope this information helps as you're looking ahead to your August vacation. If time traveling by staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort isn't quite enough, head over to one of my favorite attractions: DINOSAUR! Located at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, here you can travel back to the prehistoric era where you're sure to have a DINOmite time!

Thomas, if you have any additional questions, please come on back to planDisney where it's always TIME for fun!
