Hello Lauren! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, I always consider whether or not taking a bag with various items is worth the effort. Whenever I go with my young children, I find it essential. Despite the
well-stocked onsite Baby Care Centers at each of the parks, I find it necessary to have diapers, snacks and various soothing items on hand in case they are needed.
When I travel alone or go to one of the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks with my wife, I do not take a rucksack. This allows us to speed our way through security as there is usually a special (and shorter) queue for those without bags, and I find that i never really get any use out of it.
When I do bring a rucksack, I take the following: sunscreen, diapers, wipes, small towel, Disney trading pins, disposable ponchos, camera, change of clothes for kids (in seal-able plastic bags) a small first aid kit, water bottles (which can be filled with ice water at many quick service locations), snacks, autograph books and markers. I can usually pack all of this into a small rucksack that can be taken or stowed on most Walt Disney World Resort attractions. The rucksack will be searched by security before gaining admittance into the theme parks.
All-day lockers are available to rent at the 4 Theme Parks and 2 Water Parks. The Theme Park lockers are $8 per day for a small locker and $10 per day for a large locker with a $5 key deposit. The Water Park lockers are $10 per day for a small locker and $15 per day for a large locker.
In addition, there are coin-operated one-use lockers located outside Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios for $1 per use (only quarters are accepted).
Have a Magical Vacation!
