Hello Winter!
Welcome to planDisney!
I'm sure you are here today due to the announced updates and changes to the
Disability Access Service (DAS). From what is shared with the world and with planDisney, Walt Disney World Resort is seeking to direct guests to even more resources available to guests with disabilities. I cannot assess if you are eligible for DAS as everyone has to be individually evaluated by Cast Members and potentially medical professionals. I suggest that no more than 30 days before you arrive you have a
live video chat with Cast Members and learn about what assistance can be provided for you. Make sure you are logged into your
My Disney Experience Account. The chat is available from 7 AM to 10 PM EST and from what I hear, it is best to try very early or very late in the day to avoid long wait times.
I want to share a
great guide that answers a lot of questions regarding the services that are provided to guests. I love how even I found services on there that I did not know were provided to guests. I would also suggest speaking with your doctor before you arrive so that you are provided the best personal care to prepare for a day in the Parks. Please take care of yourself and know your limits. Each day of my visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I make sure to have all of my needed medication and show kindness to myself by taking breaks.
I am sorry that I don't have an exact answer for you but don't let it deter you from visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
Happy Planning!
