HI.. I was wondering do they put on a show before MK opens up and do the characters come in on a train if so what time

    Hi Michael ~

That is an excellent question and the answer is yes! The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show takes places each morning a few minutes before the Magic Kingdom opens. The characters arrive on the train and stop in front of the Main Street U.S.A. Train Station and welcome Guests to the Magic Kingdom before they enter the park each day. You will often hear people refer to it as "rope drop".

The Magic Kingdom Welcome Show typically takes place 10 - 15 minutes prior to park opening depending on what time it opens. You can find the schedule for the day you plan to visit by clicking on the link provided above. Once you reach that page, you'll see the time for the current date and a small calendar icon. Click on that and select your date of visit and it should bring up the time. Be sure to check back just before your trip in case the schedule changes.

If you have never seen the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show, I'd highly recommend it. It is really cute and a great way to start off a magical day.
