Hi I was wondering if I purchase water shoes for my children if they can wear them around the water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) and on the rides? Or will they have to take them off on the rides? Thanks

    Hi there, Cara!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question.

Yes! Your children can wear water shoes at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and even the Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools. I typically recommend that Guests visiting the water parks wear water shoes because the ground can get pretty warm on hot days. My three daughters wear water shoes when we visit the water parks; I've found that water shoes help my little ones from slipping and sliding!

Tip: Here's a link to the Guide Map to Disney's Water Parks, which has general information and some safety tips. Keep in mind is that swimwear with "rivets, buckles, exposed metal or neoprene is not permitted on body slides."

I hope this answers your question, Cara. Please stop back again soon if you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
