    just wondering which is preffered...Cap n Jacks or Fultons Crab House...Love the panel...i read it everyday and planning my trip from it..4 kids ages..6-15

    Hi Susan!

    I love both Captain Jack's and Fulton's Crab House, and either is a great venue for enjoying a delicious seafood meal and toasting to a perfect Disney day!  Here are some thoughts to help you decide between the two:

    Captain Jack's is a casual waterfront restaurant that features a new "All Day Menu" which is served for lunch and dinner.  It's signature items include Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Baked Salmon Filet and a Cajun Shrimp and Chicken Etouffee. It also has some great desserts, including a super yummy key lime pie!  Entrees are in the $17-$25 dollar range.  The atmosphere is very relaxing, and a great contrast to the busy theme parks.  In fact, my family tends to linger at dinner here.

    Fulton's Crab House is a more upscale restaurant that features amazing seafood that is so fresh that the daily packing slips from Alaska and other ports are literally hanging in the lobby!  Its signature items include (as you can guess) crab legs and other shell fish, including Maine lobster.  They also have incredible char-grilled fish (Mahi Mahi, Stripped Bass, Snapper and Tuna were all on the menu when I was there in August) that can be served with a choice of sauces.  On my most recent visit, I had an unbelievable sour cherry cobbler for dessert and "stole" some of my son's Double Chocolate Cake, which was equally good!

    Fulton's is an incredible dining experience, but it is pricey.  If you are celebrating a special occasion, or in the mood to splurge, I'd vote for a dinner here, as it truly is seafood bliss!  However, Captain Jack's is a wonderful spot to kick back, enjoy a cocktail, some great fish and plan your next Disney adventure!
