    Hi just wondering if there are any power chairs to rent in the Disney parks which use a joystick for steering? Thanks

    Hi Penny!

    Thank you for writing in to the Moms Panel, I think you have a very good question. The electric conveyance vehicles, ECVs/"scooters", that are rented in Walt Disney World have handle-bar type steering.  For more information about ECV Rentals in Walt Disney World click on this link.

    ECV's are a quite popular choice for people with mobility issues, but may not be right for your situation.  If you have concerns about being able to utilize an ECV, I suggest visiting your local Durable Medical Equipment company and do a test drive prior to your trip.  This will give you a good idea if it is right for your situation.
