Hi Caitlin! Welcome to planDisney! We’re so excited to have you here, and I’m thrilled to help you make the most of your day at
Magic Kingdom!
Rope dropping is one of my all-time favorite ways to start a Disney day. It’s like unlocking the gates to a day full of magic and memories! Heading straight to one of the most popular attractions is absolutely the smartest strategy, especially if you're hoping to hop on your favorite ride with a shorter wait.
Now, regarding the
Walt Disney World Railroad—yes, there’s a chance it will be running when the park opens. However, if your goal is to be among the first to journey “down the Bayou” and experience
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, or any attraction in Frontierland, I’d recommend walking straight there instead of taking the train. Even though the train is a charming way to get around, it may take a few extra minutes due to timing and boarding, and walking will give you the best chance to be near the front of the line.
Arrive at the park gates 30–45 minutes before
Early Theme Park Entry begins if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel. This gives you time to go through security, scan in, and head toward your first attraction with a solid head start!
Let me know if you’d like tips for Lightning Lane selections, mobile ordering breakfast on the go, or grabbing that perfect castle photo before the crowds roll in. I'm happy to help you plan every magical moment!
Toodles,
Korliss
