Hi Kassy!
It's a BABY!!! We are so glad you stopped by planDisney to get advice on how to spread the news!
Lucky for us, the spirit of Disney Imagineering is alive and well. Guests have found all kinds of creative and safe ways to share the baby news while on vacation at the most magical place on earth. Most important, it must be safe and in accordance with the
Walt Disney World Property Rules. Avoid artificial noisemakers and any type of reveal that would simulate an explosion. Avoid anything flammable, as well as smoke or fog machines.
People have taken Disney PhotoPass Photos with letters on a string that reveal the gender, holding up a Minnie or Mickey Mouse, holding a specific color of balloon purchased from inside the parks (note that balloons are not allowed at Disney's Animal Kingdom and other select locations), or holding a specific color of Mickey or Minnie Mouse ears. The beauty of taking the photo with a
Disney PhotoPass photographer is that you can then share that photo with your friends and family! If you are planning a visit with a large group of friends and family and want to do the reveal with them, just stick with the same idea - nothing simulating an explosion with noise and that could potentially be unsafe. On a personal note, I ask that you avoid any type of reveal that would require extensive cleanup by Cast Members. Confetti might be cute, but it's a challenge to remove. If you want to share the news in another way, you might order from
Disney Floral & Gifts. Take a look at their
balloon bouquets, gift baskets, and floral arrangements.
Kassy, get creative and think simple and sweet! Check out these
other gender reveal ideas from my fellow panelist Kathy K. I love her
Capture Your Moment - Magic Kingdom photo session suggestion! I am so happy for your little one's arrival and cannot think of a better way to celebrate than at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
