Hiya Ashley! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! It sounds like you have a big day planned at the Magic Kingdom in late October. I can't think of a better place to ask such an important question than in front of
Cinderella Castle. It's sure to be a magical day!
Walt Disney World has a
list of items that are prohibited to bring in the parks. This list can be found on the Walt Disney World website and is rather detailed. While a flower arrangement and a poster do not appear on this list, let's discuss each of these items in further detail.
After speaking to a Cast Member for clarification, you should be allowed to bring a flower arrangement into the parks as long as there is no wiring included. I would also caution on the size of the arrangement, as a smaller one will be able to transport easily. Since you will be unable to take this with you on attractions, I would recommend
renting a locker at the front of the park to put items in while you enjoy your day.
While a poster does not appear on the prohibited items list, flags and banners are not allowed in the parks. A poster may be considered a banner, so it would be best to leave this item at home. I wouldn't want you to have a plan in place and then have it taken away from you upon entry. Also, posters tend to be longer in size and will most likely not fit within a standard backpack.
As long as you follow the general guidelines provided by Disney, you can be as creative as you want on this big day. Try to think of smaller items that will fit in a backpack and can transport easily around the park. You're going to want to enjoy the park before and after you pop the big question, so keep this in mind when planning!
Ashley, I'm so excited about your big day at the
Magic Kingdom! I hope all of your dreams come true!
See ya real soon!
