    Wondering if the Port Orleans pool is heated - going in January. If not, how do you find out which ones will be? Thanks!

    Hi Heidi ~

    January is just around the corner and I'm excited to see you are making final preparations!

    The pools are heated throughout the Walt Disney World Resort to around 82 degrees. I have visited every month of the year and have seen Guests swimming even in the winter months. Some of the months would be a little chilly for me but I grew up in the south and get cold very easily. My friends in the north laugh at me and take the plunge.

    The average high temperature for Orlando in January is in the low-70s and the average low is in the upper 40s. The Orlando area usually gets a little over 2 inches of rain during the month of January so you may want to pack ponchos or umbrellas. Keep in mind that these are averages. Be sure to check the 10-day forecast online before you finish your final packing.
