Welcome to planDisney Julie!
We northern folks are tough! The minute the snow melts and the sun peeks through those clouds, we get out our summer clothes and start celebrating "summer" even if it is still 40 degrees!
Pools at Walt Disney World Resort hotels are heated year-round to 82 degrees. I was at Walt Disney World last week (February 13) and we had two glorious days of temperatures in the high 70s and we lounged poolside. Although the water was 82 degrees, it felt a bit chilly to me. However, the kids in the pool disagreed and they played and splashed around no problem. You can probably count on weather in the 70s so you should get some pool-time in during your stay.
I find that Florida still feels a bit on the cold side once the sun goes down, so make sure to bring hoodies or sweaters to toss on in the evenings. Mornings start off a bit chilly but the days heat up quickly with the sunshine. (It is hard to remember what sunshine is during February up north, but I promise, the sun is still there!!)
I do not know what resort you are staying at, but each resort at Walt Disney World has amazing pool options.
Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht and Beach Clubs is fantastic with a 200+ foot long water slide and sand-bottomed pool.
Disney's Art of Animation has a Cars themed pool with orange traffic cone style cabanas. Over at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, you can enjoy 6 different pools - there seems to be a pool every time you turn the corner at this resort!
Wishing you warm and sunny days during your visit to Walt Disney World!
