We are wondering if we have any points that we need to use because they are getting ready to expire? Also in two weeks around Christmas do you have any 3 bedroom villas available in Disney resorts in Florida

    Hiya, Lynette!

Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member –– thanks for stopping by with your question.  Unfortunately, since I'm just a regular DVC Member like you, I can't give specific information about your Membership or reservation availability. The good news, though, is that it's quick and easy for you to check those things right from your computer.  Let me walk you through the process of checking your available Vacation Points and booking reservations directly from the Disney Vacation Club website.

To begin, navigate to the website from your computer or mobile device and click "Sign In or Create Account" at the top of the page.  Next, log in with the Disney Account credentials that are linked to your Disney Vacation Club Membership.  After you're logged in, hover over the "My DVC" tab and select "My Dashboard" from the drop-down menu.  On the left side of the page, you should see a box labeled "My Vacation Points".  Here, you'll find the available Points for the current Use Year (along with any Points in holding), as well as your available Points for the next three Use Years. After checking to see how many Vacation Points you have available, here's what you'll need to do to check for upcoming reservation availability:

    1. Hover over the "Plan Vacation" tab and choose "Book a Vacation" from the menu.
    2. Select the Guests in your travel party, your preferred travel dates, your desired room type(s), and the DVC Resorts you'd like to search and click "Check Availability".
    3. On the next page, you'll see all the available rooms for that time period, as well as any Resorts with partial availability and those with the option to waitlist your reservation.
    4. If a reservation is unavailable for the dates you selected, you can click on the arrow next to the room type to open the availability calendar.  This allows you to see what is available for a specific Resort room type for a 3-month period.
    5. If you find availability for a different date that you would like to book (or if your original dates are available), simply click the new arrival and departure date on the calendar and select "Continue".
    6.  Follow the onscreen prompts to finish the booking process and confirm your reservation.

If you haven't used signed in to the DVC website in the past, you may need to set up your Disney Account to be linked with your Membership.  While you can call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 to request your Club ID and Activation Code, I think the quickest way to do this is by using the DVC website's chat feature.  During normal Member Services hours, simply click the "Chat" box on the right side of the screen and you'll be connected with a Member Services Cast Member who can provide the information for you.  Just be sure to have your Member Number handy before you begin the chat –– you'll need to provide it for the Cast Member to access your account.

Thanks for visiting planDisney, Lynette.  If you think of more questions about your DVC Membership or any other part of the Disney vacation planning process, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Amy
