I was wondering if people think it is a good idea to make dining reservations or just not make them and see what happens? Is it a lot of running around to make it to reservations or can you still go and do other things and get to your reservation in time?

    Hi Ashley,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

There are so many wonderful dining locations at Walt Disney World. I love the variety of choices! A couple of my current favorites include the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen at Magic Kingdom, where you can enjoy slightly exotic fare served by a fun cast member, and Narcoossee's at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, for a lovely and elegant setting and delicious seafood right on the water.

I generally like to make one table service reservation per day when my family and I visit Walt Disney World. I find that if we do more than that, for us, it is a lot of food and time away from the theme parks. One reservation per day is perfect for us, and we do not feel like we are missing anything or rushing with that one reservation.

Often, we will make a late lunch reservation in a theme park so that we can refuel in the early afternoon and then head out for more park fun. If we are dining at a resort, typically we will make that reservation for dinner so that we can head back to our resort hotel to clean up first. For our other meals, we will grab food from a quick-service dining location, or often we will have something simple in our room or villa. Of course, this is just my family's preference and what works well for us!

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Ashley. Please do let us know if you have any further questions!
