Just wondering if Pearl Factory at Downtown Disney is the same as Pick a Pearl in Epcot? Or is Pick a Pearl still open? The post I saw about pick a pearl was from 2009, so I just wondered. Thank you from a first time Disney visitor

    Greetings Sherri!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congrats on your very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Hooray!

The Pick-A-Pearl location in Epcot can be found in the Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan pavilion. It is a tradition of mine to have the kids pick a pearl and create a one-of-a-kind piece to remember the vacation by. There are also Pearl Factory locations in Downtown Disney, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and by Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Although the Pearl Factory locations in essence offer the same service, if you are able to make it to the Pick-A-Pearl location in Epcot, I highly recommend it for the complete experience.

If there is anything else I am able to assist you with in planning your inaugural visit, please let me know. Have a wonderful vacation, Sherri!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
