Hello, I was wondering if I have to pay for park tickets separately or will them be included in the hotel package?

    Hi Kylie!

Welcome to planDisney! You've stopped by the perfect place to get answers to all of your Walt Disney World questions! Let's jump right in and help you plan for a magical Disney getaway!

When booking a vacation package through the Walt Disney World website, you'll first select the Disney Resorts Hotel you would like to stay at. Once you decide on the room type, you'll then be prompted to select a ticket package to pair with your resort reservation. You can decide between 2-10 day park tickets and select any available add-ons. The price of the tickets will be bundled with the cost of your resort. You'll be required to pay a deposit to reserve this package and the balance will be due 30 days before your arrival date. By booking your stay this way, you'll have the option to cancel your package before your final balance is due in order to receive a full refund.

Your other option is to purchase your park tickets separately from your resort reservation. I don't recommend this option for a few reasons. The first is that full payment for your tickets is due at the time of purchase. They are also nonrefundable and nontransferable when you book them this way. Your best bet is to use the "Build Your Vacation" toolbar at the top of the Walt Disney World website and enter your travel dates and number of Guests in your party. You'll then be prompted to select a resort, room type, and ticket package before paying the deposit to secure the booking. You can also call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to book your entire package over the phone.

Kylie, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming visit! As a reminder, in addition to your park tickets, you'll also need to make park reservations for the parks you want to visit on select dates. Park reservations are required along with valid park tickets for entry each day.

    Happy planning!
