    I am wondering which parks the dark side 1/2 marathon runs thru? I'm an average rate runner and hav run 2 flat 1/2 marathons theses past 2 years. How hilly is the run and debating run for charity or alone? Is port Orleans riverside a good ho

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I'm really excited about the new Star Wars Half Marathon- The Dark Side course.  While they are still finalizing the exact details of the course, it can be described as this:

    It will be a unique 13.1-mile course that propels runners through Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios and finishes at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  

    As with most half marathon courses at Walt Disney World, it will be a mostly flat course.  There are a few elevations as you ascend road ramps, but they are mild.  Overall, I would consider it to be a very flat course.  

    If you're interested in running with a charity, you can find information about the different charities on the race website, under the "REGISTRATION" and "Charity Groups" tab.  It's always fun to run with others and especially for a great cause.  

    Port Orleans Resort-Riverside is a great choice.  All of the Disney Resorts will have runDisney bus transportation to and from each event.  Staying on Disney property is very convenient on race morning!
