Hi I was just wondering if the opening date for the new Be our Guest Restaurant has been set yet? We will be there Oct 18th- 21. Also the CRT is booked but do they have a wait list or do they take walk ups if there is room? Thanks!!

    Hello, Tera!

At this time, the opening date for the New Fantasyland expansion is set for December 6th, 2012, which means that the spectacular Be Our Guest restaurant will open on that date as well.

If you are heading to Walt Disney World prior to that opening, would love a dining experience with some very royal hostesses but cannot secure reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table (those ressies go quickly!), try Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in Epcot's Norway Pavilion. There, you'll find a selection of Disney Princesses who will visit your table as you enjoy a "Taste of Norway." It's a great location for a magical meal, and often has availability when Cinderella's Royal Table is simply too full.

Keep in mind, though, that Guest reservation cancellations happen every day, so you should still continue to try to secure that ressie at CRT, either by calling Disney Dining at (407) WDW-DINE or by checking out the online reservation system. (You might have an easier time of it if you call, since the Cast Member helping you might be able to offer some suggestions, too.)

Just this past June, while some Moms Panel buddies and I were filming a video for the Panel, Panelist Ritzy began chatting with a family who wanted to dine at CRT, but had not made reservations. Ritzy walked right up to the check-in counter at CRT and, woo hoo! A reservation was indeed available for that day! Thus, it surely can't hurt to see if walk-up reservations are available on any given day...just be sure to have a Plan B if there aren't any.

Have a wonderful stay! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
