Welcome to planDisney, Kevin!
I’m so glad you thought of us as you’re getting your Donald Ducks in a row for your next visit to The Happiest Place On Earth. I’m excited to share the new ways in which the Disneyland Resort is demonstrating its commitment to making the resort ‘
A Place Where Everyone is Welcome. ‘
Kevin, the upcoming enhancements to the
Disability Access Service (DAS) are being made to ensure that guests who require special assistance can fully
enjoy the attractions. These changes are more specifically designed to make sure that guests who truly need these services can use them.
Kevin, determining eligibility for the DAS is now a personalized process conducted through individual conversations with friendly, knowledgeable Cast Members. Whether it's through a pre-screening call or an on-site discussion, these Cast Members are there to make sure your needs are met with understanding and care.
For guests with developmental disabilities such as autism, the Disability Services team is available via a virtual chat system to address any questions or concerns about the DAS and other services. If needed,
Guest Relations can provide a device to access the virtual chat during your visit.
I hope this information brings you peace of mind, Kevin! If you have more planning questions or need
more tips, just
visit me again here so I can respond more quickly.
You've got a friend in me,
Danielle
