Hi, I am wondering how often parents can check on kids while they're in the youth clubs and if there is some type of way to reach them while in the youth club? My kids are seven and 10 and we will be on the Disney Dream. I'm hoping they'll be together.

    Great question, DeVeren!

Your 7 and 10 year old buccaneers will be enjoying the Oceaneer Club & Lab onboard the Disney Dream together! This awesome youth club is combined and the themed spaces are pretty cool, setting the tone for a fun adventure for 3 to 12 year olds. Don't be surprised if they might not want to have you bother them  :-). When my kids were this age, they felt like they wanted to live in there. There's a lot of fun activities and the youth counselors make so much of a difference, since they really do engage with each child and make it a more enjoyable experience all around.

You are more than welcome to stop by the clubs at anytime to take a peek at what the kids are doing. I used to always take a peek in the morning and in the afternoon. I knew of the activities going on since I highlighted the Oceaneer Club schedule on the Personal Navigator. If there was a fun activity, I would make sure to stop by and see their "creations" and take pictures. If you don't get to stop by the Club while they are playing, don't worry -- you'll see their finished products when they take it with them to your stateroom at the end of their day. The bread actually tasted good :-).

There are 2 wave phones in your stateroom and one of the kids can hang on to 1 and you keep 1. Just make sure no one loses the phone, since there's a hefty cost that you'll need to pay if you lose it. Otherwise, you can also call the Oceaneer Club/Lab anytime to check in on them when you are onboard. If your family members have smart phones, you're in luck - since you can send messages now using the Disney Cruise Line Personal Navigator app.

    Hope this helps, DeVeren!
