Hello, I was wondering how the occupancy rules work with kids? We booked a 9 sleeper 2 bedroom DVC villa at Saratoga originally but 3 adults 7 kids 10-3 and one 2 year old are now hoping to go. So there’s 11 people now. Is this room still possible to use?

Welcome to planDisney, Eric, and Welcome Home!

As fellow Disney Vacation Club Members, one of our favorite DVC Resorts for hosting Guests is Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. The rooms are spacious, Disney Springs is a short boat ride away, and I am in love with the new pull down bed design. Let's take a look at room occupancy.

The max occupancy for a Two Bedroom Villa at Saratoga Springs is 9 Guests. The only exception to this, in the past, is adding an infant under the age of three. However, that would still only be a max of 10 Guests. All Guests do need to be listed on the reservation for all Disney Resort Hotels. This is for safety reasons, but also Guests can only access the perks of staying on property if they are listed on the reservation. This includes the 7:00 AM access for Genie + Individual Lightning Lane selections. We have run into have more Guests than room in the past (we always want to include all our friends in the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation). I recommend considering also reserving an extra Deluxe Studio or One Bedroom Villa. This was our strategy on our last stay at Saratoga Springs with a large group. We made a note on our reservation, by calling DVC Member Services, requesting that the rooms be placed close together and the Cast Members accommodated our request. The kids in our party loved bouncing back and forth like Tigger between the rooms. I hope this helps you with planning for your group!

Thank you for visiting planDisney. Enjoy making magical memories!
