Hiya Stacey,
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your spooky season question. Boo to you, and how exciting. An adults-only trip, a Disney cruise, and
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party sounds like the perfect recipe for some frightfully fun memories. My family absolutely loves this party, and I may or may not count down to it every year like a kid waiting for candy.
As of now, dates for the 2026 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party have not been announced yet. If history repeats itself and can give us a clue, prior years' announcements usually materialize like magic in early May, with tickets going on sale shortly after, often mid to late May. My best tip is to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, since they are usually the first to spill the pumpkin spice-flavored tea on party dates and ticket sales.
Now let’s talk about how to plan your two days. With a party ticket, guests are typically allowed into
Magic Kingdom around 4 pm, even though the party officially starts later in the evening. That gives you a nice head start to soak in the atmosphere, grab dinner, and get into the Halloween spirit before the party kicks off. This is exactly what my family likes to do, so we are ready to go once the party fun begins.
Since Magic Kingdom is a big park, it really comes down to how you want to spend your time. If your main goal is party-exclusive fun like the
Boo to You parade with the Headless Horseman, rare character meet and greets, trick or treating, and all the Halloween extras, you can absolutely make a party-only day work. On the other hand, if rides are high on your must-do list, adding a regular Magic Kingdom park day can be a great idea. I have found that crowds during party days earlier in the day can actually be a little lighter, which is a nice bonus.
Stacey, I hope this helps you decide what works best for your trip and gets you even more excited for your fall visit. If any other questions pop up while you are planning, we are always happy to help.
See you real soon,
Christina
