I am wondering since I am not a big sweets fan and do not want that much dessert with the table service plan, can I switch the desert for an appitizer? is the plans really worth it? quick servoce and/or table serve... Thanks for you help.

    Hello Rebecca,

I am a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan (DDP). Since the DDP is part of your Magic Your Way vacation package, I like the convenience of not having to worry about paying for my meals when I am on my trip. And unlike you, my family loves dessert so it works to our advantage.

With the DDP, you are entitled to an entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic drink for your Table Service and Counter Service meals. Unfortunately, you are not able to swap out a dessert for an appetizer. So the DDP may not be for you. But here's something to consider: dessert doesn't have to mean cookies. My daughter is able to grab fruit slices and keep them for the next morning and eat as breakfast. Or I can bring my carrot cake back to the room as a midnight snack. There's no rule about when and where you have to eat your dessert.

But if desserts just don't float your sweet boat, you may want to consider paying as you go so you can grab bruschetta or a salad before your meal if you choose.

    Hope this help!
