I was wondering how the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train compares to The Barnstormer? Is it faster? Higher/bigger dips? We're not a roller coaster family but do enjoy the Barnstormer.

    Hi Kim ~

I was beyond thrilled to ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in early June. I have been following the progress of this attraction from the beginning and it was amazing! The interactive queue is lots of fun (yes - I tried it like a big kid) and the attention to detail is remarkable. Be sure you enlist other Guests to help you spin all 7 of the glittering gem buckets at the same time for a delightful surprise.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has a minimum height requirement of 38 inches (97 cm). It is considered a family ride but that does not necessarily mean that every member of a family will enjoy it. When you are going through the mine, the lighting is a little dark and that could frighten some smaller children. There are also some small drops along the way. To me, the drops look bigger on the outside than they feel when you are actually on the ride. It is a little faster than the Barnstormer. I would put it in the thrill category between The Barnstormer and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

Disney's FastPass+ service is available for this attraction and I would highly recommend it as the Seven Dwarf's Mine Train is extremely popular with Guests and the wait time can be pretty long.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
