Ahoy Kayla!
Welcome back to planDisney! It won't be long until it's time to
SEAS the adventure on Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the
Disney Treasure! With a maiden voyage set for December 2024, the countdown is officially on for adventurers young and old!
We have learned a lot about the Disney Treasure over the past few months which is only helping to build my excitement! If you haven't yet had the chance to take a look at the YouTube video,
Unlocking The Disney Treasure, it will help to give you a great preview of the ship. I may have watched it more than a few times myself! While there are some similarities between this newest ship and the
Disney Wish, you'll find many new and uniquely themed spaces. I think I'm most excited to check out the lounges on this ship which are themed after some of my favorite Disney attractions including Skipper Society,
The Haunted Mansion Parlor, and Periscope Pub.
Kayla, when it comes time to play on your days at sea, Disney Cruise Line has plenty of options. While you may not find pickleball on the cruise ships, there is no shortage of sports and recreation activities! The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder started off the fleet with the outdoor play space,
Wide World of Sports.
Goofy's Sports Deck has become a family favorite for my boys on the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream with miniature golf, basketball, and even virtual sports simulators to fill the days. With the launch of the Triton class, we saw an all-new recreational space.
Hero Zone debuted on the Disney Wish and brought the fun indoors - no need to worry about a sunburn or windy days at sea while shooting some hoops! While this space hasn't included pickleball in the past, I'm sure you'll find Hero Zone an
INCREDIBLE addition to the Disney Treasure! If your adventure takes you to either
Disney Castaway Cay or
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, you can also check out a shaded gaming area with activities the whole family can enjoy.
As if there haven't been enough exciting announcements recently from Disney Cruise Line, I've loved checking out the
new itineraries that were just released. Starting this week, reservations open for sailing dates all the way through May 2026! Don't forget when you set sail on your next cruise that you can
book a placeholder from the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to save on a future trip - it's one of my favorite tips! This way you know that you aren't really saying goodbye, but rather
SEA ya real soon!
Kayla, I hope this information helps as you plan for your next Disney Cruise Line adventure! If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop by and see us again here at planDisney!
Happy Sailing!
