I am wondering if we need lunch and dinner reservations for our stay of 3 days? We like to just wing it but it seems that everyone is making at least a dinner reservation, is this necessary?? "Newbie To WDW"

    Hi Christina,

Thanks for writing.  Most of us on the Panel generally recommend taking the time to make advanced dining reservations for whatever sit-down (table service) restaurants you are most interested in dining at.  While it is certainly possible to walk-up to a table service establishment, the wait times can be lengthy and/or a table may not be available depending upon the time of year you travel.  If you are interested in character meals, I would absolutely recommend making reservations.  As you can guess, many guests like to include dining with the characters as part of their Disney vacation, and, consequently, it can be tough to secure a same-day reservation.  I know as though it seems like a lot of effort, but advanced dining reservations generally make your vacation smoother, and allow you to spend more time having fun!

If you think that you will be dining at counter-service restaurants, then reservations are not necessary.

    Have a magical trip!
