I was just wondering if I need the credit card used to book to check in at my resort or just the confirmation number? There are a few rooms in our party but they are all paid for with the same card. I will be there first but it’s not my card. Thanks!

Welcome to planDisney, Jayme! It sounds like you're planning a magical visit with a larger party, so let's talk about some tips and tricks to make sure your party can experience the magic together and also that everyone can access the magic as you all arrive at different times!

Jayme, choosing to stay at a Disney Resort hotel comes with lots of great perks and benefits! Because you have a few rooms booked under one card, I'd recommend that you complete the online check-in process before your arrival and verify that each room has the correct guest accounts connected through My Disney Experience. You can complete the online check-in directly through the My Disney Experience mobile app by clicking on Hotel Reservation and following the steps to complete the check-in or under My Plans on the Walt Disney World website. As part of the Direct to Room online check-in experience, guests connected to the resort reservation can proceed directly to their Disney Resort hotel room upon arrival and access the room using a MagicBand or the My Disney Experience mobile app. You can even sign up for text alerts to know exactly when your room is ready and where it is located, allowing you to bypass the front desk completely!

I would also recommend stopping by the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel room once everyone has arrived if you plan to charge purchases back to your resort room folio and would like to itemize the charges to individual credit cards. The front desk can link a different credit card to each My Disney Experience account so that each guest will be billed separately for his or her purchases during your visit!

If you happen to arrive at your Disney Resort hotel before your room is ready, you can check your bags at Bell Services and use the Disney Resort Transportation to take you to the theme parks or to Disney Springs, or you can enjoy the amenities of your resort while you wait! And if your visit is in 2025, don't forget you will also have complimentary admission to a Disney Water Park on your check-in day, so if you're ready to dive right into the fun, this is an awesome resort perk to take advantage of on arrival day!

Jayme, I hope this is helpful, and I hope you and your group have the best time together! Check out the Memory Maker to capture all of your vacation photos - the product can be shared among up to 25 people on your Family and Friends list, so it's a great way to share the magic (and the cost!) and have your vacation photos to look back on for years to come!

If you have any other planning questions before your visit, come back to planDisney and let us know! We hope to see you again real soon!
