Hi. Was wondering if a 10 month old baby at the time of a cruise would be allowed to be at sea for one of the days? We are looking at doing a 3 night cruise to castaway cay with one day at sea and wanted to make sure it was allowed for an infant.

Ahoy there, Heather! Thanks for visiting planDisney. I'm glad you're here!

Yes, the minimum age to sail aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is six months on the day of embarkation. This means that your tiny tot is allowed to cruise along with you even if one of the days is at sea. Transatlantic, Panama Canal, and Hawaii itineraries have a different age minimum; however, that does not seem to apply to the itinerary you mentioned.

Heather, be sure to check out all of the awesome amenities for sailing with younger navigators on the "Traveling with Little Ones" section of the Disney Cruise Line website. You may even decide to make use of the “it’s a small world” nursery! on any of the Disney ships. Like I say to all of my friends, no one does a family vacation quite like Disney. From character greetings to Toddler Play Areas and kids clubs, your little one will love the experience.

I hope this information is helpful, Heather. Please visit us again if you have any other questions! We'd love to help.

    Anchors away,
