i was wondering on my meal plan my daughter is 8 will she be able to order anything off the menu or just the childrens menu? i have read that she can and on others that she cant. very confusing

    Hello Brian,

The Dining Plan in itself is a very confusing thing when you're new to using it (even when you've used it many times and they change the rules.....yup, still confusing!), so don't worry, you are not alone there.

Basically, if you are eating at a restaurant in WDW that participates in the Dining Plan that has a childs menu, then she must order from the childs menu.  Most of the restaurants at WDW do offer a childs menu but there are a limited few which don't in which case she can certainly order off of the regular menu (one of my favorite Counter Service restaurants that don't have a childs menu is Casey's Corner on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, the corn dog nuggets are THE BEST! if you've never tried them, you really should).  If you are looking for a variety of food for her to have or just bigger portions and you have Table Service credits to use, then I would stick to as many buffet meals as you can (I think these offer the best value for the Dining Plan).  Hope this helps a bit and I wish you all happy eating.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
