I am just wondering if the My Magical Day program for kids with special needs has returned yet. My daughter is with Tri-Counties Regional Center. She has autism. We really enjoyed our visit a few years back.

Hiya, Loren, and welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've enjoyed your past visits to Disneyland Resort, and I'm even more excited that you're considering returning to the Happiest Place on Earth. There's no magic like Disney magic, so let's talk about ways your family can get the most out of your next visit.

The My Magical Day Program is still on hold, but if there are any updates, they will probably be announced on the Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products website or the Disney Parks Blog. In the meantime, I have other suggestions to make your visit smooth and enjoyable for you and your princess.

Disneyland Resort offers some fabulous resources for guests with cognitive disabilities. For example, the Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities has tips for preparing for your trip, suggestions for the best places to take a break, and more. In addition, you'll find many recommendations there specifically for guests on the Autism Spectrum.

Another idea is to look at Disability Access Service (DAS). This service is designed to help guests who have difficulty waiting for extended periods. It offers return times for many attractions, and you can pre-register via video call 30 days before your visit.

One of my family's favorite things to do when we need to regroup and recharge is to take a midday break. Disneyland Resort offers relaxing picnic tables in a quiet area on the esplanade near the theme park entrances. Lockers are nearby to store a small cooler if you want to eat in the shade. It's the perfect spot to refresh and relax.

Loren, I hope your daughter has a practically perfect time on your next trip to Disneyland Resort. And please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
